We are very excited about Hearts On Fire 2010. This has been a big year for the ministry and for me personally. After much prayer Scott has stepped out on faith and has decided to do a Singles Conference. In 24 years this will be the first conference other than the youth that we have held. We are very excited about the Singles Conference in that it seems sometimes this is a group of individuals that get overlooked. The purpose of this conference is to minister to single individuals who are in their mid twenties through their 50's and to help them live for God right where they are in life.
We will be having two awesome speakers; Dave Edwards, author and speaker, as a single man, can relate to the issues that you face daily as a single person. He has been with us on many occassions at the Youth Conference and as you know he speaks from the heart and will help you discover the importance of a Christ-centered lifestyle. Angela Thomas will be speaking also. Angela has been married, divorced, a single mother and now remarried. She is an author, teacher and an amazing speaker. She is a wife, mother and an ordinary woman who has been where many of you are and can relate to the issues you are facing right now in your life. During the conference a question and answer session will be held with both Dave and Angela.
After Dave Edwards speaks on Saturday evening you will have the opportunity to hear 33Miles in concert. We have had the honor of working with 33Miles on several occassions and from experience I can tell you they are as wonderful off stage as they are on. They are committed Christians and it shows in everything that they do and say. One of the great things about 33Miles is that they appeal to all age groups. No matter whether you are 25 or 55 you will enjoy their music and their message in song.
Hearts on Fire Youth Conference 2010 is well under way. If you have been watching the website you have seen the transformation from 2009 to 2010. This year for the HOF 2010 Youth Conference we are excited to announce that our speakers will be Tony Nolan and Will Graham. On Saturday morning we will be having Third Day in Concert. Yes, really Third Day will be joining us this year!!!! We are very excited about our youth conference and very soon you be able to begin registering. Brochures should go out to your church in July. Please keep watching the website and this blog for more information on the speakers and the concert. Also this year we will have a few scheduling changes so please keep checking the website for updates.
Well now for a huge change in my life, I will be working for Hearts On Fire Ministries in my home office! As many of you know I have worked for Scott at First Baptist Church Sevierville for almost ten years and part of my job there was to facilitate Hearts On Fire as well as be the youth secretary and publications secretary for the church. We (well I know I am) are praising God that Hearts On Fire has grown to the point that it is now my only job. I count it a great honor and joy to be able to help each of you as you register and make your plans to attend HOF. I know sometimes I ramble about the conference but I am so blessed and truly love being a part of HOF. You have become my friends and I feel that I know many of you just through our conversations each year. I hope to hear from you again this year!
