Plan now to attend, and it's never too early to begin bathing the conference in prayer. Without prayer, this ministry is nothing. We here at Hearts On Fire feel blessed beyond measure to be a small part of the big things God is doing in the lives of students across America!

The Afters

The Afters are a Christian pop rock band founded by Joshua Havens and Matt Fuqua. Havens and Fuqua first worked together in a Starbucks coffee shop in Mesquite, Texas, where they played for customers, before deciding to form a band. They added Brad Wigg and Marc Dodd, who were also employed at the same Starbucks, under their original name of Blisse. Their song "Never Going Back to OK" was the most-played song on R&R magazine's Christian CHR chart for 2008. theafters.com

Fusing messages of hope with anthemic pop/rock has become MIKESCHAIR’s calling card and it served the young band well. The band has spawned such memorable Dove Award nominated singles as “Let the Waters Rise” and “Can’t Take Away.” The hits keep coming with songs like "Someone Worth Dying For," "All For You," "Redemption Song" and more.  As you can tell in their new album, "All or Nothing," the members of MIKESCHAIR have matured from college-graduates-turned-recording artists to young men with a firm understanding of their calling and renewed passion for changing lives through music. mikeschair.com

Scott Carter

To say that one has been a youth pastor for over 30 years is quite an accomplishment.  Scott Carter who founded Hearts On Fire 29 years ago can say just that. His goal in life has been to point young people toward the Father and for their hearts to burn with a commitment to Christ. Many lives have been changed because Scott followed the Lord’s calling for his life. He is the youth pastor at First Baptist Church, Sevierville, TN.

The JJ Weeks Band

The JJ Weeks Band, based in Macon GA, tour extensively all across the US. Their hit song Let Them See You not only climbed the charts to be a top 10 single on the Billboard top 100 and a top 20 song for 30+ weeks, but it has also touched thousands of people’s lives all across the globe. When talking to the band you can clearly see that is where they place the victory in this song. Four guys with a heart to use their talents to encourage whoever will listen, David Hart on Bass, Robbie Fritz on Drums, Cody Preston on Guitar, and JJ Weeks Lead vocal make this group of seasoned musicians a staple in the music industry.

The band’s music is filled with the pain of real life, but points to a hope that could only be found in a loving God. jjweeksband.com
